Kibaale Community Centre
Overview Transforming the Rakai district
The Kibaale Community Centre, located in Uganda’s Rakai District, enriches lives through quality Christian education and essential services such as healthcare, vocational training, clean water initiatives, and agricultural programs. These initiatives empower community members and significantly improve the lives of vulnerable individuals in the region. Supported through our Student Sponsorship Program, many students have successfully completed degrees and now serve as teachers, doctors, lawyers, and business professionals across the country. Our sustainable projects like Timothy Girls High School and the Kuwasha Coffee Company further contribute to community development efforts.
Kuwasha has partnered with the Kibaale Community Centre due to its commitment to vulnerable communities, families, and individuals. We proudly support this transformative project and invite you to join us in making a difference.

About the Centre
01 Our Location
The Kibaale Community Centre is situated in the remote village of Kibaale within Uganda’s Rakai District in southern Uganda. Our location near the Tanzanian border placed us at the heart of conflicts between Tanzania and Uganda in the late 1970s. The Rakai District is also renowned as the epicenter of the HIV epidemic that profoundly impacted Uganda.
02 Our Approach
We strive to educate children who lack opportunities. Once enrolled, we commit to providing them with quality education and care, empowering them to change their lives and those of their families. Many of our students go on to complete university programs.
03 Our Vision
We are confident that quality Christian education can break the cycle of poverty in Kibaale. Our vision is for today’s students to become the ethical leaders of Uganda in the future.
04 Our Mission
Kibaale Community Centre exists to impact the nation of Uganda through evangelism and discipleship, education, health-care and community development focused on service, leadership and excellence, to the Glory of God.
Programs at KCC Empowering community health with sustainable agriculture and quality care
Thrive Gardens
Thrive is our comprehensive agriculture initiative in Kibaale, offering education and resources in organic gardening, nutrition, natural medicine, and income generation. Participants learn essential skills and receive materials to create sustainable home gardens, improving food security and health in our community.
This year, we expanded the program in Kibaale, training 219 individuals. We plan to continue by training more families of students from Kibaale Community Centre, aiming to reduce hunger, improve nutrition, and fight malaria with artemisia tea.
Our Thrive Garden at the Kibaale Community Centre has greatly enhanced student meals, providing more vegetables like spinach, eggplant, tomatoes, and kale. Additionally, everyone is benefiting from artemisia tea, which helps prevent malaria.
